I suffered terribly during my early 40s with anxiety, heavy periods and complete lack of confidence and would get overwhelmed by the slightest thing. This was a massive shock to me as I’d always been resilient and was after all, in my dream job at the time.
I hadn’t even heard of the Perimenopause at that time and when I went to the Doctor they strongly advised me to take antidepressants. I had tests for separate ailments but no one joined up the dots!
I did my own research and as I learned all about the menopause transition my periods stopped and so I was like ‘ok so the last 7 years of hell was the Perimenopause then’ !! Raising awareness is so needed. Thank you for creating a space for this xx
